Centered around foraged botanical materials, these pieces were inspired originally by the movement of light through leaves. With sustainability at their core, each work prioritises recycled materials, transforming natural elements into luminous, sculptural art.
The design process takes two distinct approaches—some pieces are meticulously planned, while others embrace a more free-flowing, organic construction, starting with a base shape and evolving naturally. Once assembled, each light undergoes one of two specialized finishing processes, ensuring the materials are long-lasting and easier to manage while preserving their unique textures and forms.
A creative exploration of sewing, patternmaking, and construction, these handcrafted bags (for the most part) are a way to experiment with textiles while honing essential skills. More than just a product, they represent a love for the puzzle of design—piecing together patterns, textures, and materials in a way that’s both functional and artistic.
Each bag is a true one-off, not because of some fancy marketing gimmick, but because they take so long to make that producing them regularly would require either winning the lottery or discovering a new dimension where time moves slower. So, while they exist, they’re rare—like a unicorn you can carry your stuff in.
